What is a Facial?
A facial is a skin treatment used for various purposes. It may include extraction, exfoliation, steam, peels, masks, massage or a combination of these. The general purpose of a facial is to maintain healthy skin and make the face look and feel younger and fresher by deeply cleaning the pores and removing layers of dead skin cells.
Ecobeautica offers wonderfully customized Brooklyn facials that are specifically designed for each client: whatever the skin needs the most, we have a facial that comes to the rescue. Whether the issue is oily skin, sun damage or anything in between, a good facial can do wonders.
When To Consider a Facial
Every person has a unique story. Some clients just get facials to relax and enjoy the human touch, but most have specific skin ailments that they are looking to overcome.
It may be time to consider a facial if you suffer from:
- Clogged pores or blackheads
- Rough or dry skin
- Too many wrinkles or fine lines
- Annoying acne
- Oily, unmanageable skin
- Sun damage
- Dry or uneven skin
Facials are for all ages. Often, people in their 20’s or 30’s think they’re too young to start taking skin precautions or paying attention to the signs of aging. But many young people are often in the sun, don’t get enough sleep, don’t eat well and may drink too much. Wherever you’re at in life, it’s never too early (or too late) to start taking care of your skin. Young clients should consider maintaining their skin professionally at least every month or two, while other clients should think about receiving facials more often.
Solutions Facials Offer
Every now and then, your house or apartment needs a good, deep clean. Throwing things out, organizing closets, cleaning the couch and dusting under the bed. Most likely, more people see your face than your house. Our wonderful facials give your face that refreshing, well-deserved deep clean that have people asking what you did differently.
Facials are a great way to keep your skin in prime health. If you want to put off aging for as long as possible, we recommend facials at least once a month. That way, your skin doesn’t have to start its healing from scratch every time you get the treatment—instead, it will keep looking better and better!
Who Can Benefit from a Facial?
Anyone can get great results from our facial treatments. Age, gender, color, or severity of issue are not factors. Whether you have perfect skin already and just want to maintain the glow or whether you have unwanted wrinkles and dullness and want to revamp the quality of the surface, this procedure may be right for you! Since it is pain-free and relaxing, this can be a great alternative to anyone who wants major skin changes without the suffering.
How Does the Treatment Work?
As we don’t give a one-size-fits-all facial, every client’s experience may be different. But in general, there are several steps that will be universal to each facial:
- Cleansing to remove any dirt or makeup and prepare the skin to be beautiful
- Toning to rebalance the skin and make it a neutral base to work with
- Exfoliating to remove any useless dead skin cells and reveal the new ones underneath
- Moisturizing to replenish the skin’s hydration
- Repairing the skin with vitamins and nutrients
Why Get Facials?
This may seem like a silly, extravagant treatment, only meant for the high-profile and the wealthy. But we believe that facials are a necessity for everyone who wants to simply take care of their skin. The treatment will help your skin stay fresh and rejuvenated as it ages, so that dead skin cells don’t build up and block the fresh ones underneath. It gives that glow that make people turn their heads and listen closely to whatever you have to say.
How We are Different From Others
Healing can come from the outside, but ultimately stems from the inside. If there is a skin issue that may be linked to an inner intolerance or imbalance, we offer advice and tips to get your body and face in tip-top shape. This may include nutritional or supplement counseling or just having a conversation about the foods you eat. In this way, it is a different experience than simply going to a beauty salon or spa. If you are having concerns about something specific, please bring it up so that we can dig deeply and find the root cause of the problem.
For example, if you have acne issues, visit us on Ocean Avenue between Kings Highway and Quentin Road in Brooklyn, NYC and we will clean out your pores with the Acne Facial. But then we can also give you information about what foods might be causing your pimples and how to improve your skin condition with diet, supplements or minerals. Acne is not just a disease of the skin; it’s could be symptom of a problem inside. Another example would be if you are worried about the advancement of your wrinkles, we can examine why they may be exponentially increasing in the first place. Even that can be from an issue unrelated to natural age. On that note, though, some wrinkles are inevitable. We encourage clients not to be afraid of smile lines—those are happy lines!
